I was born and raised in this remarkable beautiful land. I have spent years exploring and photographing the wonderful creatures that call it home. However, even now, after all this time, she still astounds and mesmerizes me with her flawless beauty. My recent adventure to the Mara, proved to me that even though I am a son of this great land, she has yet to reveal so much more of what makes her indescribably beautiful...more than I could ever fathom. =====•=====•===== The Mara It would be erroneous on my behalf if my initial image from my recent adventure to the Mara was not one of this remarkable place itself. A picture that would without a doubt fail to convey the dramatic skies and infinite scale of this magical place. A picture that would fail in its attempt to capture the flawless beauty of a land that could very well be the pinnacle of this magical continent. A picture that would try and convey the immense scale of a land as astounding as the colossal herds that seek its nourishment but pale in comparison. A picture that would try to help us comprehend why the Mara may very well be the greatest wilderness to exist. =====•=====•===== Skies that touch the heavens themselves, horizons the define infinity, this is the Maasai Mara.
A Famous Tree in a Beautiful Place
An African Sunrise
Africa… oh Africa! A land so beautiful, so vastly breathtaking, that she could never simply be defined by just one thing. Tales have often been told about her flawless golden sunsets, citing this as the most beautiful moment in an African day, however, I can attest to the fact that if you ever get the opportunity to witness a dew-covered morning illuminated by one of her gorgeous dawns, you would be forgiven to believe that you went to went to bed a mortal on earth but woke up in heaven. That is because an African sunrise is of such an exquisite beauty, with light so flawless in illumination that “heavenly” is the only way to describe it. The magic of an African sunrise will leave you in a state of breathtaking awe, and with no inkling of doubt that you are in a remarkable place, a land where beauty is as simple and flawless as the morning light.

Milky Way over Africa
A short while ago I posted an image of a beautiful African sunrise and I mentioned that Africa’s magic could never be defined by just one thing. So if its precious painting-like dawns illuminate the glorious day that lies ahead, then it has to be said that its flawless sunsets are only the prequel which lift the veil on its magical night skies. Magical is the only way to describe something as breathtaking as Africa herself, because the night skies that blanket the African continent are illuminated by a cluster of infinite stars that leave you humbled if not held in a trance by its beauty. At times you could be easily be deceived in thinking that you are staring at a blank canvas covered in glitter, that you are looking at something that’s not real, that’s the incredible nature of a clear night in the African bush… it is transcendent. I have always said that Africa’s magic must lie in the dust that covers this great land, but maybe, just maybe… her magic lies in her stars.
